Fascism vs Communism: Not That Different?

Libertarians often consider the Left and Right as two sides of the same “statist” coin. The bottom line for both is increased state control over individuals. They have different things they want to force on the citizens, but they both want to control the citizens.

A man with severe anxiety disorder shoots and kills 32 students at a college in Virginia. The perpetrator is universally condemned. Debate grips the country about how to prevent that sort of thing from ever happening again.

A man infiltrates a Jewish seminary and kills eight people in the library. Anti-Jewish politicians celebrate and folks post comments at cbc.ca defending the action.

What was the difference? Ah, a huge difference. These were Israeli Jews.
